Phaeton is a loyalist forge world of the Segmentum Solar, home of Legio Osedax, the “Cockatrices”, and creator of a widespread pattern of the Leman Russ tank. In the Heresy Kelbor-Hal took revenge for Phaeton’s former “audacity” — forces of the Dark Mechanicum, disguised as merchant barges, breached the noosphere and invaded; Legio Osedax took extreme losses, but the survivors took vengeance.
