Journal Tactica (p. 8, via Lexicanum: Drop Site Massacre) gives losses of 96.92% of the 83,000 of the first wave — 2,556 survivors (as calculated from Journal Tactica). Fandom (Salamanders) says only that the losses were almost total, “as high as 98%” by some sources, and gives no number. The atlas keeps 2,556 so that the whole drop-site series is taken from a single publication, and marks the figure as disputed; the atlas’s articles do not repeat it as fact. • Disputed in the canon: The number of XIX Legion survivors is disputed — the sources give different numbers and do not reconcile them. Journal Tactica (p. 8, via Lexicanum: Drop Site Massacre) counts the losses of the first wave in the Urgall Depression: for the XIX, 94.02% of 79,000 — 4,724 survivors (as calculated from Journal Tactica); in the Lexicanum infobox the same percentage stands next to “3,000 survivors”. “Less than three thousand” out of some 80,000 is the wording of the audio drama “Raven’s Flight” (G. Thorpe), as Fandom quotes it (Drop Site Massacre). Lexicanum retells “Deliverance Lost” (G. Thorpe) in different ways: in its articles Corax leaves with about three thousand, in the notes to Drop Site Massacre with 5,000, with at least 75,000 dead; for the novel Fandom gives only “the loss of over 75,000”. The sources do not explain the difference. The atlas keeps 4,724 so that the whole drop-site series is taken from a single publication, and marks the figure as disputed; in the main the versions agree — of ~80 thousand only a few thousand survived.
