Aeonid Thiel “Red-Marked”

Aeonid Thiel — sergeant of the 135th Company of the 13th Chapter of the Ultramarines, marked for censure by a red stripe on his helmet for theorising about combat between Space Marines. His courage and unorthodox thinking at Calth turned the red mark of shame into a mark of honour — since then Ultramarines sergeants paint their helmets red to denote rank.
