Amon Tauromachian — a member of the first circle of Legio Custodes, ranked among the greatest Custodians of the Great Crusade and the Heresy. During the Heresy Constantin Valdor charged him with investigating suspicious daemonic activity within the Imperial Palace. By Custodian custom, Malcador recommended awarding him a new name — “Longinus”.

At the Siege of Terra he received the name “Longinus” for his deeds and for his role as warden of the Cult of Euphrati Keeler — Malcador ordered him to tolerate her followers so as to turn their faith into a weapon against the warp.
