Traitor Legions

The Traitor Legions (in 40k — Chaos Space Marines) are the nine Astartes legions that stood for the Warmaster Horus, as a collective bloc. After the failure of the Siege of Terra and the death of Horus they fled, hunted in the Great Scouring, into the Eye of Terror. A generalised traitor faction for events in which the Chaos legions act jointly (the Great Scouring, later renegade revolts).

Nine Astartes legions that stood for Horus (the Sons of Horus, the Death Guard, the Emperor’s Children, the World Eaters, the Word Bearers, the Thousand Sons, the Iron Warriors, the Night Lords, the Alpha Legion) as a single traitor bloc.

Fate

After the death of Horus and the failure of the Siege of Terra the Traitor Legions fled to the Eye of Terror, from which for 10,000 years they have been waging Black Crusades against the Imperium.
