The Laer are a serpentine xenos race of the world of Laeran, whose society was steeped in an early cult of Slaanesh. The Emperor’s Children exterminated them in the Cleansing of Laeran in the Great Crusade — but it was in a Laeran temple that Fulgrim acquired the daemon blade that began the corruption of both him and the entire legion toward Slaanesh. A neutral (exterminated) xenos race, the seed of the fall of the III Legion.
