The Dark King
The Dark King is a prophesied potential fifth god of Chaos, the source of oblivion, first named at the finale of the Siege of Terra. Malcador drew it as a card from the Imperial Tarot in search of a thread of hope. It was at first thought to be a corrupted Horus or Samus, but it became clear: the Dark King was destined to be the Emperor himself — hastening toward Horus, He drank from the Warp on an unprecedented scale and would have ascended into a full god of Chaos, dooming mankind; He stepped back from the brink.
