Mezoa

Mezoa is a strategically important loyalist forge world, the last system of the Gothic Sector loyal to Terra, isolated and besieged. In the Mezoan Campaign (008.M31) it was besieged by the 114th Grand Battalion of the Iron Warriors (Nârik Dreygur) and the 78th Chapter of the Alpha Legion; the “Disciples of the Flames” (a shard of the Salamanders under Cassian Vaughn / the dreadnought Cassian Dracos) came to its relief. Dreygur and the surviving Iron Warriors renounced Horus and became loyalists.

Fate

Mezoa held out; it was saved by the “Disciples of the Flames” (a shard of the Salamanders) under Cassian Vaughn and remained a thorn in Horus’s side throughout the Heresy.
