“Fire Wasps” — the unwaveringly loyal Titan Legion of Mars, sworn enemy of Legio Mortis and one of the Ferrum Morgulus Triad. At the Schism of Mars it suffered heavy losses: it beat off Legio Pyria, then was caught on its withdrawal by a maniple of Mortis leading Legio Damnosus and the Tenarii. At the Siege of Terra it defended the Palace and the Eternity Gate, where its engines Conclamatus (struck down by Angron) and Oberosa fell.

The legion’s backbone is its Warlords; its motto is Inveniam viam aut faciam (“I shall find a way or make one”), and two Warhounds of Ignatum have the honour of guarding the Eternity Gate of the Palace. At the Schism of Mars the legion beat off an attack by Legio Pyria, but on its withdrawal fell into an ambush by a maniple of Legio Mortis (with Damnosus and the Tenarii): a neophyte princeps, blinded by the dawn, fired the first shot in haste at an engine of his own side — an ill omen that sealed the fate of nearly all of Ignatum’s Titans on Mars. The surviving detachments took their revenge on the Dark Mechanicum at Paramar, Tallarn, the War Within the Webway and the Cataclysm of Iron. At the Siege of Terra the legion marched out at full strength against the Mercury-Exultant kill-zone under Princeps Majoris Cydon in a Warmonger; there the Warlords Conclamatus (struck down by Angron), Oberosa and Optima Diktat fell at the Eternity Gate.
Fate
Survived the Heresy; one of the foremost loyalist Titan Legions in M41 as well (it later destroyed Dies Irae at Hydra Cordatus).
