Traitor victory Kelbor-Hal gives Mars to Horus; the Dark Mechanicum is born.
Fabricator General Kelbor-Hal, regarding the Emperor as a false Omnissiah, swore himself to Horus and unleashed the corruption of scrapcode on Mars, setting off the civil war of the Mechanicum (the “Death of Innocence”). The loyal forges of Koriel Zeth and Ipluvien Maximal resisted; Sigismund covered the evacuation of priceless armour, but the Alpha Legion managed to steal the armour templates.
