Plot (spoilers: moderate)
Layer by layer: Pluto, Uranus, Luna, the outer spheres of Sol. The Siege begins not at the walls of the Palace but at the edge of the system. Read it first in the Siege cycle — otherwise “014.M31, Terra” looks as if the armada has simply appeared in orbit.
Events in the book
