Calas Typhon — First Captain of the Death Guard and master of the ship Terminus Est, who became Typhus, the Herald of Nurgle. In the warp he led the Legion into a trap and took the whole Destroyer Plague into himself, becoming the carrier of the Destroyer Hive, and his brothers the first Plague Marines.

Fate

Survived the Heresy as Typhus. After the war, disgusted by Mortarion’s Plague Planet, he left with the “cohort of sepsis” to spread the gifts of Nurgle through the Imperium; a recurring champion right up to M41.
