Konrad Curze against Rogal Dorn · The Cheraut Incident

At the end of the bloody compliance campaign in the Cheraut system, Dorn demanded that Curze answer for the massacre by the Night Lords and for his prophecies of a coming civil war. The quarrel turned into a savage reprisal: gripped by visions of a dark future, the Night Lord beat Rogal Dorn almost to death and came to his senses only when Sigismund, bursting in, dragged him away. Curze was taken into custody, but broke free, leaving fresh corpses behind him — and the rift in the brotherhood of the primarchs foreshadowed the Heresy.
