Inconclusive Meduson rallies the survivors into a guerrilla war of vengeance against Horus.

The survivors of the Iron Hands, Salamanders and Raven Guard after Isstvan V banded together into mixed detachments of no more than a thousand fighters under Iron Lord Shadrak Meduson. For three years they conducted thousands of pinprick raids, assassinations and acts of sabotage against the Sons of Horus — so skilfully that Horus did not at once recognise a single hand behind them.
