Inconclusive Lorgar and Angron scorch Ultramar, feeding the Ruinstorm; Ultramar is for the most part held.

While Kor Phaeron struck at Calth, Lorgar and Angron led the Word Bearers and World Eaters against the Five Hundred Worlds of Ultramar, burning world after world. The aim was not only to ravage Guilliman’s realm but also to feed the growing Ruinstorm with the psychic agony of hundreds of murdered worlds.

Roughly a fifth of the Five Hundred Worlds of Ultramar destroyed; the main blow of Lorgar and Angron passed through more than 100 worlds before falling on the military world of Armatura.

Significance

Strategically strengthens the Ruinstorm and isolates the east; tactically Ultramar held out.

  • 007–008.M31; Lexicanum marks the outcome as a strategic victory for the traitors / a tactical victory for the loyalists.
