Traitor victory Qin Xa dies in a diversionary assault, covering Khan’s manoeuvre.

In the desperate “Path of Heaven”, Jaghatai Khan ordered Qin Xa, master of the Keshig, to lead a massed assault on the ancient Warp Gates of Kalium in Khan’s own armour — a ruse to convince the enemy that Khan himself was there, while the Legion struck elsewhere. Qin Xa fell in battle against Eidolon’s Emperor’s Children.

Significance

The sacrifice at the Kalium Gate bought the White Scars a chance to reach the “Dark Glass” on Catallus.

Disputed in the canon

  • The Lexicanum infobox mistakenly gives “~011.M41” (a typo); the correct date is c. 011.M31 (the death of Qin Xa, “The Path of Heaven”).
