In the Catallus Rift the White Scars found the “Dark Glass” — a prototype of a Webway access device from the Dark Age of Technology. When the fleets of Mortarion and Eidolon caught up with them, Stormseer Targutai Yesugei sacrificed himself to the device, opening a passage into the Webway. Unwilling to waste his sacrifice, Khan chose flight over honour and led the Legion through the Webway to Terra.

Significance

Opens the way to Terra for the White Scars — they will reach the siege in time.
