Pyrrhic loyalist victory Almost the whole crew of the “Sisypheum” dies rescuing the gene-artefact “Magna Mater” from Luna.

By the era of the Siege of Terra the “Sisypheum” had reached the Sol system and, heavily damaged in combat with the Word Bearers battleship “Covenant of Truth”, answered the call of the Selenar gene-witch Ta’lab Vita-37 to rescue the ancient gene-artefact “Magna Mater”. The defenders of the Dark Mechanicum called on Justaerin of the Sons of Horus for help, and the crew died one by one until the artefact was recovered; only Sabik Wayland and Nykona Sharrowkyn survived, saved by the mysterious intervention of the Imperial Fists’ “Phalanx”.
