Ka’Bandha

Khorne’s Exalted Bloodthirster, the “Angel’s Bane” and the “Bane of the Ninth Bloodline”. At Signus Prime, summoned by a sacrifice of the Word Bearers together with Kyriss, he broke Sanguinius’s legs in aerial combat and brought down upon the legion the “Ragefire”, awakening the Red Thirst; for his failure Khorne banished him and charged him with gathering 500 souls of the Blood Angels around Sanguinius. At the Siege of Terra he became the first Greater Daemon to break through the Emperor’s weakened psychic shield, and struck at the Eternity Gate, mowing down Blood Angels. But this time Sanguinius rose, seized the daemon by the throat and broke his spine with the hilt of his sword, hurling him back into the horde; Ka’Bandha’s shattered body was devoured by the lesser daemons of Khorne, while he himself realised with fury that he had once again failed the god’s test.

Twice defeated by Sanguinius: banished at Signus, and at the Siege of Terra Sanguinius broke his spine with the hilt of a sword and hurled him back into the traitor horde.
