Pyrrhic loyalist victory Sanguinius banishes Ka’Bandha, but the Red Thirst and the Black Rage are born.

Horus lured the Blood Angels into the Signus Cluster in order to destroy them; there a trap of daemonic legions awaited them. At Signus Prime the Bloodthirster Ka’Bandha shattered Sanguinius’s legs and with the Ragefire cut down hundreds of his sons, awakening the Red Thirst. Recovering, Sanguinius banished the Bloodthirster and cleansed the cluster, but the Legion suffered terrible losses.
