Alpharius and Omegon

Alpharius (and his hidden twin Omegon), primarchs of the Alpha Legion, “the Hydra”, are traitors, though this is open to question. An alien Cabal convinced them that Horus’s victory was the only way to destroy Chaos forever, and they played on the side of the traitors, setting traps for the loyalists. One twin fell at the hand of Dorn at Pluto, the other at the hand of Guilliman on Eskrador; which one and when is deliberately unclear.

Fate

The fate is deliberately unclear: one twin fell at the hand of Rogal Dorn at Pluto (~013.M31), the other at the hand of Guilliman on Eskrador after the Heresy. Which one and when is one of the great mysteries of 40k.

The Hydra at Pluto. In “Praetorian of Dorn” one of the twins (canonically read as Alpharius) dies at Dorn’s hand at Pluto. It is disputed who exactly fell and whether for good: the Alpha Legion is built so that this death proves nothing.
