Inconclusive The Emperor orders Magnus brought to Terra for violating the Edict of Nikaea.

After the breach in the Webway, the Emperor issued a Writ of Censure against the Thousand Sons, ordering Russ to bring Magnus and the XV Legion to Terra for breaching the Edicts of Nikaea — the forbidden sorcery of the breach. The corrupted Horus intercepted and altered the order so that, instead of an arrest, a punitive force was sent to Prospero.

Significance

The altered order turns the judgement of Magnus into the destruction of Prospero.

Disputed in the canon

  • Canonical order: the Edict of Nikaea (001.M31) → Magnus’s breach of the Webway → the Writ of Censure (004.M31, FW Black Book VII: Inferno) → the Burning of Prospero. The Writ answers the breach rather than causing it.
