Corvus Corax

Corvus Corax, “the Raven”, primarch of the Raven Guard from Deliverance, is a loyalist and a master of covert warfare. On Isstvan V only a few thousand of his Legion’s ~80,000 survived, and for 98 days he waged a guerrilla war until he was evacuated. He tried to rebuild the Legion quickly, but sabotage by the Alpha Legion produced mutants.

Fate

Survived the Heresy. Tormented by guilt, he shut himself away in the Ravenspire on Deliverance, and a year later went alone to the Eye of Terror with the words “Nevermore”, and the Imperium never saw him again.

The Shadow against the Warmaster. On Isstvan V Corax understands the ambush before the others do, but cannot save his Legion. Then come Deliverance Lost, the tainted reinforcements and the guerrilla war of the Shattered Legions. The canon gives no personal duel with Horus: only a debt of vengeance.
