Perturabo’s Iron Warriors dropped out of the warp and with virus bombs turned the Imperial staging world of Tallarn into a poisoned desert, seeking a buried Dark Age artefact — the “Black Oculus”. The survivors in underground shelters waged the largest armoured war in the history of the Imperium — over a million vehicles — bleeding the Iron Warriors until a search exposed by the Alpha Legion forced Perturabo to retreat.
