Pyrrhic loyalist victory Sanguinius smashes a Legio Vulpa Titan with the Spear of Telesto; the first assault is repulsed.

Gorgon Bar was defended by Sanguinius and the Imperial Fists’ Master of the Order, Fafnir Rann. A major assault led by the Iron Warriors warsmiths Gundar, Mortel and Chroniates was broken when the defenders hurled the Iron Warriors from the towers of the Fourth Circular Wall — inspired by Sanguinius, who during the fight boarded the head of a Warlord-class Titan of Legio Vulpa and destroyed it with the Spear of Telesto.

Significance

Steadfastness at Gorgon Bar; but per the chronicle the stronghold still fell at the fraction 388.

Disputed in the canon

  • A siege fragment of 388.014.M31. The warsmiths’ first assault was repulsed; Gorgon Bar fell later.
