Loyalist victory Dorn’s trap cuts down the Mournival; Aximand, Kibre and Tormageddon are killed.

Perturabo and Abaddon spotted a crack in the Saturnine Gate. Abaddon led the Justaerin spearhead through it, while Fulgrim threw ~100,000 Emperor’s Children into a ground assault. But Dorn had foreseen the blow: the detachments of Loken and Garro set an ambush, and Arkhan Land sealed the breach with sealant. The Mournival was cut down — Aximand, Kibre and Tormageddon fell, and only Abaddon broke free.
