The best volume of the Siege as a chess study: Dorn sets a trap, Horus goes into Saturnine, the heroes of the XVI die, the loyalists win the day and lose the war to time. Mandatory. Here too Sigismund fights Fulgrim, nearly dies, is saved by Dorn — and Dorn renounces him as a son, leaving him as First Captain. He will swear the Eternal Crusade vow later, after the Heresy, leaving Terra as the first High Marshal of the Black Templars.
