Malcador the Sigillite — First Lord of Terra, regent of the Imperium and a mighty psyker-Perpetual, confidant of the Emperor. He ruled Terra, created the Knights-Errant (the seed of the Grey Knights and the Inquisition), and at the height of the Siege took the Emperor’s place on the Golden Throne, holding back the warp breach. The Throne burned him; he died having kept the wounded Emperor alive until the last orders were given.
